Antonio Stradivari - Vols 1-4 + DVD Linen Bound Library edition Only 2000 Copies being printed
A collection of instruments crafted by the legendary Antonio Stradivari fully researched, compiled, and photographed in such a high quality has never been published before.
Over 140 well certified instruments have been meticulously and expertly photographed by the professional photographer Jan Roehrmann, and carefully documented by the Italian art historian Alessandra Barabaschi. As the books measure 305 x 460mm, every detail of the beautiful instruments is reproduced in LIFE SIZE including the cellos, which reach an extent of ca.1100 x 460mm. The printing technique chosen for the reproductions makes use of a special varnishing to preserve and enhance the beauty of the instruments. The collection is divided into four volumes of around 35 instruments and circa 300 pages each.
We have been allowed privileged access to some of the rarest examples of Stradivari instruments in existence. Therefore, some of the instruments have never been shown before. A list of subscribers is included within the books. The books will contain the fascinating history of every featured instrument thoroughly researched and written by Alessandra Barabaschi, beside comprehensive essays by the distinguished experts Florian Leonhard, J. & A. Beare, and Carlo Chiesa.
A DVD accompanies this collection providing precious additional information like measurements, arching samples, extra and detailed views, additional composite instruments, and an exclusive live video recording of J.S. Bach performed by Susanna Yoko Henkel with the A.Stradivari violin, Cremona 1710 “Tate Leslie“.
As final master’s touch, the volumes contain also the most comprehensive chronological list ever known of instruments made by Antonio Stradivari.
Limited to 2000 hard-back linen effect copies and 100 leather-bound copies of each volume, individually numbered and registered, the books are sure to increase in value and become a collectors item.
The books will never be re-printed so reserve yours today!
