The flexible strip to illuminate the inside of a violin, viola or cello, doubles the LEDs and passes from 6 to 12 bright LEDs with a light angle now emitted at 360°!!! These special LEDs illuminate the inside of a violin much more evenly, do not heat up and last for years. With LEDs, battery life is 7-10 times longer than conventional bulbs.
The other big improvement is the battery holder with an on/off switch, so you don't have to disconnect the battery every time like on the old model.
