This blade Hock Tools model BP238 high-carbon steel blades are renowned for their improved cutting action, as they offer a substantial improvement over the inferior blades shipped as standard with so many tools. They can be honed more easily and will get sharper.
This blade fit 99.9% of Stanley and Record-style planes with no modifications other than a simple frog adjustment and it fit most non-Stanley planes based on blade width.
Hock carbon steel blades can be sharpened more easily and cut better and longer.
