Pure larch turpentine, hand-picked in Trentino, Italy. Turpentine is an oleoresin produced by larch. The resin is nothing more than a defense of the tree that it secretes to heal its wounds, thus avoiding contact with bacteria or anything else that could compromise its health and life. Over the years, the resin hardens as it dries. In violin making it is the preferred resin for reflecting substrates and as the main component of oil varnishes.
