High-quality technical gelatin created from a blend of animal glues to ensure reliability and durability.
Gelatin is applied to bare wood as an insulator, before or after applying water-based preparations to alter the color of the wood. It is also used as a separator/sealant to create a barrier between the ground and the varnish, useful in antiquing or replicating antique instruments to help artificial chipping of the varnish.
- Gelatin is usually prepared in solutions ranging from 2 to 60%, depending on the purpose, in demineralized water.
- Use: Soak the gelatin in cold water for at least 3 hours. Then heat in a bain-marie between 50° and 60° C.
- Storage: Store the product in a dry place, away from water and humidity.
