Description / CAG Finger Planes, Flat Sole, Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel Type 316
The finger planes are made of stainless steel that does not corrode and it is much harder and durable than brass. 316 grade is one of the most commonly used stainless steels, due to its increased resistance to corrosion. For both its strength and beauty, it has long been used for making fine watches.
Blades made of high-speed Steel (HSS), approx. HRC 60-62
Blades made of hight-speed Steel (HSS), HRC 60-62, in our case superior to the old high-carbon steel tools, it can withstand higher temperatures without losing its temper (hardness) and need longer time to become dull. It is often used in power-saw blades and drill bits, but we also use it to make woodworking plane's blade, where it's relatively good toughness and high abrasion resistance made it suitable for working on hard woods with out sharpening very often.

Eccezionale!
